Obscuring what all this pain inside and around you actually means.

And you come back a felt contact with the intelligence of life herself and your place with it.

From Survival to Sovereignty 

My childhood was marked by instability, a lineage of unprocessed pain and a profound feeling of being totally misunderstood, exiled and alone. I came into this world with a lot of knowledge, a lot of psychic power and intensity. 


I was bright, sensitive, expressive and psychically attuned from a young age.

I knew about the unseen; about energy transfer but without anyone to share it with..
I went silent. 
I built an inner life of deep independence, not trusting anyone and living with super high anxiety. 

So I became a high achiever, hoping that the external would somehow fill the void I had within. I built a life that looked accomplished, and awesome from the outside. I convinced myself it would make me feel like I was enough, but obviously it wasn't. 

I graduated from an elite Canadian university with a competitive GPA as a finance major.  I speak 5 languages, while internally never feeling like I "fit in" or would be listened to or chosen.

My reality was built on the lies I told myself. 
It felt like a performance. Like I was being suffocated each morning, running away  without any real grasp on why. 

I had a relentless desire to know truth.
The life I was living was not mine.
It didn't feel like me until I had a massive wake up call. 

Grief no one should ever have to experience, the sudden unexplained death of an otherwise healthy, vibrant and young family member.

I was thrust into what made no logical sense, it was then I realized the importance of living in truth and living from the heart. 

I left everything familiar to find out what was real.  I spent years traveling to sacred sites across the world, learning modalities of practice from Reiki Mastery to orking in rural Southern Africa, studying with Amazonian shamans, and in relentless pursuit of a day of relating to the world that made sense and got me closer to God. Building an interdisciplinary worldview that helped me make sense of it all. 

But my self-belief ran deep in my unconscious and my shadows became absolute monsters. I bypassed them and appeared so "bright" while simultaneously being terrified that anyone would find out the shame I had around even being alive. 

A deeply painful karmic relationship became the teacher, violence, abuse and although on the surface he represented everything I thought I wanted. It was the crack in the fabric of my reality that made me see just how much my soul was yearning for the experience so I could eventually overcome it. How I desperately needed to take real accountability

I chose to descend fully into the shadows, break free from every conditioning and live WAY outside the box.  

It is the most terrifying and rewarding thing to really see the illusions for what they are. 

I spent years in intensive, unconventional environments that became a masterclass in power, energy, and the parts of the psyche most people (and society in general) are taught are too "taboo" to express. I learned to connect with people from all walks of life, and usher people out of experiences of separation and back into union with themselves and the spirit that lives within them. 

I learned the hard way that no modality or hours of practice or path will return you, if you don't know energy; you don't know anything.If you can't reconcile with the darkness that's too intense to touch; you can never see it for the teacher it truly is. 

I became someone who knows how to bring shadow into light, even when it's confronting, challenges my belonging and is deeply uncomfortable.  It's in returning to that resonance with what's alive that we find truth.

A crucial element of this is worth, our bodies and our relationship to them; if we do not feel safe in our vessel; we cannot move forward.

Earth based somatic rituals will be foundational; and will be woven throughout this course as a reorientation of our own internal live as interconnected. Nervous system practices for attunement to what is happening within with TRUST and security to be witnessed.

Emerant works and lives on the traditional, unceded lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. I am grateful for the opportunity to work and be held by this land, and I deeply revere the knowledge keepers who have stewarded this land since time immemorial and strive to learn and be in good relations with her and all who are held here. I commit myself to being in reverence; learning and living in the spirit of reciprocity, and at one with the land.
